Today, May 24, 2026, the CYOC Summer Donation Drive was successfully held at Wootton High School. Although the event itself lasted only a few hours, the effort behind it represented weeks of planning, coordination, outreach, and teamwork. Together with Ruichen and Kevin, we organized the drive from the very beginning, and throughout this experience I witnessed how a community can unite through compassion, generosity, and a shared desire to help others.

On May 24, 2026, the Capital Youth Outreach Club (CYOC) successfully completed our 2026 Summer Donation Drive at Wootton High School. What began as a simple vision, encouraging youth and families to clean out gently used items and turn them into opportunities for others—grew into a community-wide effort filled with generosity, teamwork, and compassion.

2026年5月24号，上午10点, CYOC 与 So What Else 共同发起的 2026 Donation drive 在马里兰州 Wooton high school 的停车场准时开始。多日持续的降雨也未能阻挡人们参加捐赠的热情。这是CYOC每年的传统公益活动。这个活动非常有意义：它的主要目的是收集大家的闲置物品，实现循环利用，即帮助那些生活中需要的人，为他们提供生活用品和学习用品，又能保护环境，节约资源。虽然每个人捐赠的东西并不一定十分昂贵，但每一件物品都承载着一份温暖和关爱。这次捐赠不仅让所有参与的小义工们与捐赠者们感受到了奉献的意义，也让更多人感受到了希望和世界的善意。

初夏的阴雨连绵数日，却浇不灭华府青年（CYOC）心中的热忱。等待了半年的爱心募集活动，终于在今天上午九点雨歇后拉开了帷幕。Wootton高中停车场里，CYOC义工组织者早已搭好帐篷、拉起CYOC横幅，静候义工同学们的到来。

2026年5月24日，Capital Youth Outreach Club（CYOC）在Wootton High School成功举办了2026夏季爱心捐赠活动。最初，这项活动只是一个简单的想法：鼓励青少年和家庭整理家中闲置但仍完好的物品，让它们重新发挥价值，帮助更多有需要的人。而最终，这个想法逐渐发展成为一次凝聚社区力量、充满爱心、合作与温暖的大型公益行动。今年的捐赠活动取得了远超预期的成果。共有46名学生志愿者参与了活动的策划、组织、宣传、收集、分类及运输工作，同时得到了60多个家庭和本地小型企业的大力支持。他们不仅积极捐赠物资，也帮助活动在社区内传播和推广，让更多人加入到爱心行动中。

Graduation, a leap from school to society. Watching everyone celebrate that huge step made me realize how big these moments really are, even for the people working behind the scenes like me. I wasn’t the one graduating, but being a part of this celebration made me connect to something special.

2026年5月17日，一年一度的CYOC毕业庆典再次如约而至。在这个阳光灿烂、微风轻拂的周日，CYOC的小义工们齐聚在Cabin John Regional Park，共同迎来了属于2026届毕业生的重要时刻。本次活动的主题为“2026 Graduation Ceremony and New Leadership”。今年的毕业典礼不仅是对毕业生们的祝福，也是CYOC新一届领导团队正式宣布的日子。对于所有成员来说，这一天充满了欢笑、感动与对未来的期待。
BALTIMORE, MD – April 25, 2026 – Team Galaxy, a collaborative team of high school students from across Maryland, has been officially named a National Winner in the 2025–2026 NASA Dream With Us Design Challenge.
Official Certificate by NASA for Team Galaxy (Source: NASA Aeronautics)Announced by NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate on March 23, Team Galaxy secured Third Place nationwide, becoming the first team in Maryland history to win the prestigious aerospace competition.Notably, Team Galaxy was the only team from the East Coast to place in the top tier, standing alongside First and Second Place winners Team SkySeekers and Team AeroForge, both from California.

On a spring afternoon, I arrived at the APPI Festival ceremony feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. The area was already busy, with people walking around, different booths being set up, and volunteers getting ready for the event. Music and conversations filled the space, and it was clear that a lot of people were waiting for this day. Even before I started volunteering, I could see how many people were working together to make the event go well.
