Nine teams and eighteen young players spent a Saturday afternoon on four courts at an event organized and run by student volunteers

On Saturday, August 8th, CYOC Frederick Branch leader Raymond Zhou and Georgia Tech undergraduate Luc Lugez along with others hosted a community pickleball tournament at the Montgomery Tennisplex, bringing together players, families, volunteers, and community members for a day filled with competition, teamwork, and fun. The event was organized as an opportunity for people in the community to come together through a friendly and accessible sport while supporting the CYOC’s mission of encouraging community involvement.

2026年8月8日，CYOC Frederick分部首届青少年匹克球赛在Montgomery TennisPlex举行并圆满落幕。来自社区及周边学校的青年选手齐聚球场，在友好而充满活力的氛围中展开了一场场紧张而精彩的匹克球对决。
为积极响应匹克球（Pickleball）运动在全美快速发展的热潮，进一步推动青少年体育运动和健康成长，由CYOC（华府青年 Capital Youth Outreach Club）Frederick分部主办的首届青少年匹克球公开赛将于2026年8月8日（星期六）下午2:00至6:00在Montgomery TennisPlex隆重举行。

On August 1, 2025, despite the morning drizzle and overcast skies, Anacostia Park in Washington, D.C., hosted a vibrant and joyful event — the 2025 Youth Summer Olympics. Organized by So What Else (SWE) and Capital Youth Outreach Club (CYOC) in collaboration with several local nonprofit partners, the event brought together over 380 summer camp participants from the Greater Washington area for a day filled with fun, sports, and meaningful connections.

又逢一年一度的Pike‘s Peek 10K比赛，这是MCRRC（Montgomery Country Road Runner Club)组织的一个活动，比赛始于Shady Grove Metro Station，止于Pike and Rose; 基本沿着355奔跑；点到点直线赛道且整体下坡，一直受到众多跑步爱好者的青睐，也被跑者爱好者称为PR course，成为很多跑着者测试自己10公里跑步成绩的必跑，也是跑者们测试其他长度的比赛（半马或全马）配速的标杆；赛后兼有音乐，美食，美景，跑步爱好者都可以借此机会聚聚，perfect networking。
