Achievements and Honours

The Capital Youth Outreach Club (CYOC) has a proud history of accomplishments that highlight our commitment to community service and leadership development. Over the years, our dedicated members have been recognized for their outstanding contributions through various awards and honours. These accolades underscore the impact of our initiatives in areas such as cultural exchange, assisting the disabled, academic education, and community service. Our members’ hard work and dedication continue to bring positive change and inspire others in the community.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)

CYOC will verify the SSL for the current members and apply for PVSA in October every year. Apply for PVSA 2024 (not activated yet) >>>

In 2023 alone, 37 CYOC members have been awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Collectively, they have contributed over 5,000 volunteer hours in the past year.

USCAC Asian American Youth Leadership Award

In 2024, several CYOC members won the First USCAC Asian American Youth Leadership Award. This event aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of Asian youth to the community, honoring and supporting these exceptional individuals for their positive impact through civic engagement, community service, and innovative initiatives.

A six-member judging panel, composed of senior educators and community leaders from the Washington, D.C. area, conducted a three-round evaluation process. Ultimately, 21 scholarship recipients and 41 outstanding contribution awardees were selected.
