On December 7, CYOC held an online ceremony to officially launch its Frederick County branch. Students from across the county came together to celebrate the opening day, joined by adults who offered a brief introduction to CYOC and its mission. Around 23 people attended the ceremony, creating an energized environment for collaboration and new ideas.

During the event, students shared their dreams and hopes for what the Frederick branch could accomplish. James expressed his interest in organizing food drives, fundraisers, trash clean-ups, and even offering leaf-raking services for free. Salena shared her excitement about having a local branch so that Frederick—just like Rockville—can feel the lasting impact CYOC brings to its communities. Alan proposed creating a swimming program to teach younger children an essential life-saving skill. Ethan emphasized the need for greater publicity, suggesting the use of flyers or even launching a social media account to promote CYOC.
Overall, the opening ceremony highlighted an impressive level of motivation and creativity. Students were eager to contribute, each offering unique ideas to support the growth and success of CYOC in Frederick County.
