numerous alumni gathered
in Black Hill Park
voices mingled and bantered
there was a certain spark
the barbeque glowed
the aroma floated
each dish prepared
as this subdued
performances commenced
everyone‘s gaze
was condensed
as looks of amaze
were expressed
a war had started
a tug of war
people bonded
even more than before
as the end crept forward
the volunteers
continue onward
cleaning up with cheers
laughing with friends
feeling so alive
